ANORAK | issue 40 | Under the Sea
Anorak magazine issue 40 - Under the Sea
Anorak is spending the summer… under the sea. This sea-tastic issue explores what lurks beneath the waves, from precious treasures to lost cities, from strange creatures like unicorns or hedgehogs (yes, really) to ghosts!
It carries many sea-inspired stories as well as interviews with a marine biologist and an expert in manatees (one of our favourite sea animals ever!).
Launched in 2006 by a Mum (Cathy Olmedillas, formerly of 90s lifestyle bibles The Face and Sleazenation) frustrated by the lack of good kids magazines available on the market, Anorak - the Happy Mag for Kids - is aimed at children (boys AND girls) aged 6+. Published four times a year, every issue has a theme (inspired by the British National Curriculum) to inspire and encourage kids to tap into their natural creativity and learn while having fun. Always beautifully illustrated with stories, games and activities to keep those little ones' creative cells buzzing!
Unlike magazines of today, neither of our publications are throw away titles. Just like much loved children’s magazines and annuals of the past they are designed to be collected, kept, handed down and revisited.
The Anorak Press' main philosophy is to encourage children to tap into their imagination, use their creativity to learn and is here to amplify their voices. It has at the core of its offering a passion for words and images that challenge and stimulate.
